Beautiful image. I am the founder of a group that emphasizes just this type photo with "girls on tracks" so I have requested this for our group. First thing I noticed is the beautiful white dress and soft female contrasting so well with the darkness and hardness of the rock, ties and rail! Exposure and lighting is good, focus is great for the face-eyes, subject emphasis is nice. I apprecciate the fact you found a place where two tracks meet. If I were shooting this, I'd like to try a few other things to see how they compared with this base image: have model look away from camera maybe with hands down and sitting up strait, try expose feet/legs, try with a much shallower DOF, and try a few other camera positions - just have fun with this one spot trying different things! Overall, great photo!
Thanks a lot for your thorough and competent critique on my work. I really appreciate it.
Concerning the possible ways of variation for this model/location you probably can imagine that a shooting produces much more output. Most of the time I choose only one or two images which I consider the best to publish here in DA. Endless series of different DOFs, viewing angles, poses and mimics remain unseen on my computer and with the model...
Thanks nonetheless for your feedback and advice.
Surely, no problem. I figured as much regarding the various shots of same setting-look. Similar to mine - just shows what varied opinions we have throughout the industry. I torture myself on occasion debating on the merrits of these same issues when I am looking back through all my images for a given shoot. Thanks for your comment bacl to me. Glad to help.
